The Sierra GameKing .25 Cal 90 gr Hollow Point Boat Tail (Sierra part no. 1615) is built for hunting at long range in .257-inch rifles. GameKing bullets carry a boat tail design that brings hunters the same ballistic advantage match bullets enjoy: the streamlined, tapered base greatly reduces drag, which translates into higher retained velocity, greater striking energy downrange, a flatter trajectory, and less wind drift compared to a flat-base bullet.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the boat tail base do for a hunting bullet? It reduces drag the same way it does on match bullets, giving GameKing loads higher retained velocity, a flatter trajectory, and less wind drift at long range.

Is this bullet built for close-range or long-range hunting? Sierra designs the GameKing line specifically for hunting at long range, where the boat tail’s ballistic advantage matters most.
