The Arsenal SAM7R Plum 7.62x39mm rifle (Arsenal part no. SAM7R-62PM) is a milled-receiver AK from Arsenal’s SAM7R line with Plum furniture and a matching 10-round magazine. Furniture and magazine color are the only changes from the black SAM7R. It has a 16.3-inch barrel, a threaded 14x1mm left-hand muzzle with an AK-351 muzzle brake and the FIME Enhanced Fire Control Group. Arsenal builds the receiver from a hot-die hammer-forged blank in Bulgaria. It works as a range rifle or a general-purpose 7.62x39mm carbine in a color other than black.

Key Specifications

• Chambering is 7.62x39mm, the classic AK cartridge for a mid-power rifle with simple, proven ammunition.
• The barrel is 16.3 inches and cold hammer-forged on Steyr technology with a hard-chrome plated bore and chamber for long service life.
• Rifling is 1:9.44 twist with four grooves, the rate Arsenal specifies for this 7.62x39mm barrel.
• The muzzle is threaded 14x1mm left-hand and carries a removable AK-351 muzzle brake, so another device with that thread can be fitted.
• The receiver is milled from a hot-die hammer-forged blank at Arsenal’s Bulgarian factory, which Arsenal says yields finer-grained, stronger steel.
• A FIME FM-922EUS Enhanced Fire Control Group with a single-hook trigger shortens trigger travel and cleans up the pull.
• Furniture is Plum polymer on the stock, upper and lower handguards and pistol grip.
• One Plum 10-round magazine is included, color-matched to the furniture.
• Overall length is 36.5 inches with a weight of about 8 pounds without a magazine.
• A side-attached scope rail and bayonet lug are standard, with a sling, oil bottle, cleaning rod and cleaning kit supplied.
