The Arsenal SAM7R Gray 7.62x39mm is the milled-receiver SAM7R dressed in gray polymer furniture with a matching gray 10-round magazine (Arsenal part no. SAM7R-62GYM). Arsenal pairs its milled and forged receiver with the FIME enhanced fire control group, a 16.3-inch chrome-lined hammer-forged barrel and a removable AK-351 muzzle brake on 14x1mm left-hand threads. The intermediate-length buttstock, side-attached scope rail and bayonet lug keep the layout traditional, which suits range days, hunting and anyone building a collection of milled AKs. A sling, cleaning rod, oil bottle and cleaning kit come with it. This Arsenal rifle gives you the color without changing anything underneath.

Key Specifications

• The chambering is 7.62x39mm, the AK-pattern cartridge this rifle is built around.
• The barrel is 16.3 inches long, chrome lined and hammer forged.
• Rifling twist is 1:9.44 (1 in 240 mm), the rate Arsenal lists for this rifle.
• The muzzle device is an AK-351 muzzle brake, a removable brake that tames recoil and muzzle rise.
• The barrel is threaded with 14x1mm left-hand threads, a thread direction that matters when you source a muzzle device.
• The receiver is milled from a hot-die hammer forged blank, which Arsenal says gives stronger, finer-grained steel than bar stock.
• The fire control group is the FIME Group FM-922EUS enhanced FCG, a single-hook trigger, hammer, disconnector and disconnector springs that shorten trigger travel.
• The furniture is gray polymer with an intermediate-length buttstock, so the stock color matches the magazine.
• Capacity is 10 rounds in the one matching gray magazine that ships with the rifle.
• Overall length is 36.5 inches, a compact size for a fixed-stock AK.
