The Arsenal SAM7R 7.62x39mm Muzzle Brake rifle is a fixed-stock, milled-receiver AK that ships with a removable AK-351 brake on a threaded barrel (Arsenal part no. SAM7R-62B). Its 16.3-inch chrome-lined hammer-forged barrel is threaded 14x1mm left-hand, and the FIME enhanced fire control group gives it a shorter, lighter trigger than a standard AK. Black polymer furniture, an intermediate-length buttstock with a cleaning-kit compartment, a side-attached scope rail and a bayonet lug round out a rifle built for the range, hunting and general-purpose use. One 10-round magazine is included. It is a straightforward way to get an Arsenal milled receiver without paying for extras.

Key Specifications

• The chambering is 7.62x39mm, the AK-pattern cartridge this rifle is built around.
• The barrel is 16.3 inches long, chrome lined and hammer forged.
• Rifling twist is 1:9.44 (1 in 240 mm), the rate Arsenal lists for this rifle.
• The muzzle device is an AK-351 muzzle brake, removable so the threads can take another 14x1mm device.
• The barrel is threaded with 14x1mm left-hand threads, which is the pitch and direction to match when you shop for a replacement muzzle device.
• The receiver is milled from a hot-die hammer forged blank, which Arsenal says gives stronger, finer-grained steel than bar stock.
• The fire control group is the FIME Group FM-922EUS enhanced FCG, a single-hook trigger, hammer, disconnector and disconnector springs that shorten trigger travel.
• The stock is a U.S.-made 10-inch black polymer buttstock with a compartment for a cleaning kit and a 13.4-inch length of pull.
• The bore and chamber are hard-chrome plated, which resists corrosion and eases cleaning.
