The Faxon Firearms Match Series AR15 barrel (brand part no. 15B22A7R20LMQ-5R-NP3) is a 20-inch .22 ARC barrel manufactured in-house from gun-barrel-quality 416-R bar stock. Faxon cuts 5R rifling into the bore, a hybrid rifling style with lands opposite grooves that reduces jacket deformation, increases velocity retention, and eases cleaning. Chambered for .22 ARC, a high-performance cartridge well suited to 5R rifling’s benefits, every barrel is individually MPI tested for safety before it is nitride treated inside and out to lock in the bore and resist corrosion. A nickel Teflon-coated extension improves dry lubricity and tightens the fit between the extension and receiver, rounding out a barrel built for long-range accuracy.
