The Savage 334 Walnut .223 Remington Bolt-Action Rifle (Savage part no. 23291) is a value-priced hunting and varmint rifle with a Turkish walnut stock. Savage builds it around a crisp trigger and a 60-degree bolt lift with three locking lugs, which speeds follow-up shots. The 20-inch heavy sporter barrel is button rifled, free floating and finished with an 11-degree target crown for consistent accuracy. A Picatinny rail is installed for an optic, so it is a straightforward way to build a coyote, varmint or small-game rifle.
