The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 9mm pistol in the 8-inch sling configuration is a compact blowback pistol built from AR-15 controls and Glock-type magazines (Freedom Ordnance part no. FX9P8-T). It is optic ready and ships in black with a sling. A pistol receiver extension and M-LOK free-float rail give it a short, easy-to-carry footprint for range and training use. Freedom Ordnance builds the receivers from billet aluminum and nitrides the steel parts for long wear.

Key Specifications

• The chambering is 9mm (9×19), a mild-recoiling cartridge that keeps range time inexpensive.
• The action is blowback semi-automatic, the simple system used across the FX-9 line.
• The barrel is 8 inches long, a compact length that keeps the pistol short and well balanced.
• The optic provision is optic ready, with a top rail that accepts a red dot or other optic you choose.
• Magazine compatibility is Glock type, so common Glock-pattern 9mm magazines fit the well.
• The controls are AR-15 style, with an AR-15 safety selector, pistol grip and mag release for familiar handling.
• A sling is included, so the pistol is ready to carry at the range.
• The rear of the receiver carries a pistol receiver extension, and the lower is threaded for mil-spec buffer tubes.
• The handguard is a free-float M-LOK rail for lights and other accessories.
• The receivers are billet aluminum with a Type III anodized finish, finished in black, with nitrided steel in the barrel and bolt.
