The Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Maple 6.8 Western Rifle is a bolt-action big-game rifle with a 24-inch barrel, polished blued metalwork and a shadowline cheekpiece (brand part no. 535218299). Winchester builds it on the Pre-64 style controlled round feed action. The maple stock has a gloss finish, an ebony tip and cut checkering, which sets it apart from walnut-stocked rifles. Chambered in 6.8 Western on a short action, it is a handsome rifle that still hunts hard.
