The Traditions Outfitter G3 Takedown .35 Remington Rifle is a break-action single shot with a 22-inch barrel, built to break down for transport (Traditions part no. CR351130RT). Traditions gives the Takedown its patented QD removable forend, which comes off with the press of a button so the rifle breaks down for packing. The rest of the rifle is classic Outfitter G3: a chromoly steel barrel, a steel frame that is drilled and tapped for a scope base, and an 11-degree target crown. The Elite XT trigger system pairs a rebounding hammer with a manual cross-block trigger safety, and the action opens with the safety engaged for loading and unloading. It is a compact traveling rifle for deer hunters who fly, hike in or simply want a short case.
