The Thompson/Center Encore Shotgun Barrel in 20 gauge (brand part no. 6040R) is a 26-inch stainless steel barrel with rifled bore construction, built for the Encore interchangeable-barrel platform. Rifling a shotgun barrel dramatically improves accuracy with saboted slug loads compared to a smooth bore, making this barrel a strong choice for hunters who want a dedicated, accurate slug gun without buying a separate firearm. The stainless construction resists corrosion in wet hunting conditions, and the barrel swaps onto any Encore frame in minutes.
