The Thompson/Center Encore ProHunter Rifled Slug Gun in 12 gauge is a single-shot break-action shotgun engineered for superior accuracy with sabot slugs. It has a 26-inch stainless steel rifled, fluted barrel, a 3-inch chamber and a weight of 7 pounds. Overmolded grip panels provide a sure grip in less-than-ideal weather, and the Flex Tech stock has a LimbSaver AirTech recoil pad. The swing hammer lets you offset the hammer spur to the left or right for ambidextrous use. The barrel is drilled and tapped for a scope, and the interchangeable barrel capability lets the same frame serve for rifle, muzzleloader or shotgun use. It is a purpose-built deer gun for shotgun-only zones.
