The Leupold Standard 1-Piece Base for the Mauser M98 (part no. 178123) puts a classic rotary-dovetail mount under one of the most enduring bolt actions in the world. Leupold machines the base from steel and finishes it matte black, with a 0 MOA elevation that leaves the scope’s own elevation travel untouched for long-range compensation. The rear ring’s windage adjustment screws set lateral zero without relying on the scope’s internal adjustments. For Mauser M98 owners choosing scope bases, this Standard base is the fitted, no-nonsense option.
