The Springfield Armory M1A Tanker .308 Win rifle shortens the M1A to a 16.25-inch barrel and adds a tritium front night sight and a ghost ring rear aperture (brand part no. AA9622). The stained walnut stock keeps the classic look, and Springfield Armory took its inspiration from the T26 Tanker Garand developed near the end of World War II. A muzzle brake and a match-grade two-stage trigger round out a rifle that weighs less than 9 pounds.
