The Sierra Tipped MatchKing 30 Cal 125gr Bullets (Sierra part no. 7725) put a low-drag polymer tip on Sierra’s proven .30 caliber MatchKing platform. Sierra designed the Tipped MatchKing to give competitive shooters a higher ballistic coefficient than the standard hollow point boat tail profile while keeping the same accuracy-driven jacket and manufacturing tolerances. Each box holds 100 bullets, well suited to .308 Winchester and similar .30 caliber long-range loads.

Key Specifications

• .30 caliber bore diameter fits standard .30 caliber rifle chamberings.
• 125-grain bullet weight is a lighter-for-caliber option that favors higher achievable velocity.
• Acetal resin polymer tip lowers drag compared to a standard MatchKing hollow point meplat.
• Boat tail base further reduces drag for a flatter trajectory at distance.
• Tipped MatchKing construction carries the same tight jacket tolerances as Sierra’s standard MatchKing line.
• 100 bullets per box covers a full round of load development.
• Same tight jacket tolerances as Sierra’s standard MatchKing line back the added polymer tip.
• Built for target and competition accuracy rather than controlled-expansion hunting performance.
• Sold as a bare reloading component, not loaded ammunition, pairing with brass, a primer, and a powder charge you select.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the tipped design help accuracy? The acetal resin tip lowers aerodynamic drag versus a standard hollow point meplat, raising the ballistic coefficient for a flatter, more consistent trajectory.

What is this bullet best suited for? Precision target and long-range shooting in .30 caliber rifles such as .308 Winchester.

How many bullets are in a box? Each box contains 100 bullets.
