The Sierra MatchKing .30 Cal 230gr HPBT Bullets (Sierra part no. 2251) is a 230gr .30 Cal projectile from Sierra’s MatchKing line. MatchKing is Sierra’s flagship target line: a thin, tightly toleranced jacket and a small hollow-point meplat combine with a boat-tail base for a high ballistic coefficient and minimal wind drift. Each box holds 50 bullets, enough .30 Cal projectiles to develop and confirm a load before committing to a production run. It’s a good fit for competitive shooters and long-range handloaders chasing tight, repeatable groups.
