The Shield Sights RMSd 4 MOA Glass Red Dot, Reflex Mini Sight D is a reflex red dot with a side battery drawer for optic-cut pistols (brand part no. RMSD-4MOA-GLASS). Shield Sights machines the RMSd from aerospace-grade aluminum with a D-shaped glass lens and a side-accessible battery drawer, so the battery changes without unmounting the sight. It weighs 18.5 grams without the battery and carries a 4 MOA dot. The no-click mechanism zeroes the sight without detents and supports co-witnessing with standard iron sights. It suits carry and range pistols where holding zero through a battery change matters.

Key Specifications

• The red dot is a 4 MOA dot, a fine dot that covers little of the target at distance.
• The lens is a D-shaped crystal-clear glass lens with a hard anti-reflective coating, which keeps the view clear and free of color tint.
• The body is machined aerospace-grade aluminum, which gives a rigid housing without adding slide weight.
• The sight weighs 18.5 grams without the battery, light enough for a slide-mounted optic.
• It runs on one CR1632 battery rated for 9,000 hours in average daylight, which is a long service interval for a slim sight.
• A side-accessible battery drawer lets you change the battery without taking the sight off the slide, so the zero stays put.
• Automatic brightness adjustment keeps the dot ready without a button press, and the lowest setting is compatible with night vision.
• The sight mounts to the SHIELD footprint, and Shield lists more than 100 mounting solutions for that footprint.
• Water resistance is rated at 3 feet for 30 minutes (IP67), enough for rain and wet range days.
• Sight dimensions are 40.8 mm long, 25.35 mm wide and 22.8 mm tall, the size to plan around for a slide cut.
