The Shield Sights RMS2 8 MOA Glass Red Dot, Reflex Mini Sight 2.0, Matte Black is a D-lens reflex mini sight for optic-cut pistols (brand part no. RMS2-8MOA-GLASS). Shield Sights machines the RMS2 from aerospace-grade aluminum around a D-shaped glass lens, and it weighs only 17.1 grams without the battery. This version carries the larger 8 MOA dot, which is easy to find quickly on a fast draw. The no-click mechanism zeroes the sight without detents and still lets you co-witness with standard iron sights. It fits duty-style, competition and range pistols that use the SHIELD footprint.

Key Specifications

• The red dot is an 8 MOA dot, a larger dot that is quick to pick up at speed.
• The lens is a D-shaped crystal-clear glass lens with a hard anti-reflective coating, which keeps the view clear and free of color tint.
• The body is machined aerospace-grade aluminum, which gives a rigid housing without adding slide weight.
• The sight weighs 17.1 grams without the battery, light enough to keep the slide quick to cycle.
• It runs on one CR2032 battery rated for 20,000 hours in average daylight, so the battery rarely needs attention.
• Automatic brightness adjustment keeps the dot ready without a button press, and the lowest setting is compatible with night vision.
• The sight mounts to the SHIELD footprint, and Shield lists more than 100 mounting solutions for that footprint.
• Water resistance is rated at 3 feet for 30 minutes (IP67), enough for rain and wet range days.
