The Proof Research 6.5 Creedmoor Carbon Fiber Barrel in an 18-inch Sendero profile with a 1:7.5 PXT twist (brand part no. 152393) wraps a carbon fiber sleeve around a stainless steel core, cutting significant weight over a traditional steel barrel while maintaining precision-rifle accuracy. Proof Research built its PXT (Exponential Twist) rifling as a full rethinking of conventional twist progression, aimed at reducing bullet engraving force and slowing throat erosion compared to standard constant-twist rifling. This barrel ships threaded, chambered, and ready to shoulder directly up to a compatible action, such as the Zermatt Arms Origin or Aero Precision Solus, functioning as a drop-in upgrade with no additional machining required.
