The Pointer Acrius Case Color Hardened 12 Gauge Over/Under Shotgun, 28-Inch Barrel (brand part no. KAR1228HT) is a 12-gauge over/under built by Pointer as the Case Color Hardened edition of the Acrius line. It pairs a 28-inch barrel set with a Turkish walnut stock and forend, a raised vent rib and a fiber optic sight, which makes it a straightforward choice for upland birds, clays and general field use. Pointer lists chrome-lined barrels, extractors, crisp mechanical triggers and a laser-etched receiver across the Acrius series, and five chokes come with the gun. That feature set is the reason the Acrius is pitched as a first shotgun for a younger shooter or an affordable step up for an experienced hunter.

Key Specifications

• The gauge is 12 Gauge, a size that sets the shot charge and recoil level of this over/under.
• The action is an over/under, with two stacked barrels that give a single sight plane and a quick second shot.
• Barrel length is 28 inches, long enough for a smooth swing on birds and clays.
• Furniture is a Turkish walnut stock and forend, a classic wood that gives the gun a traditional look and feel.
• A raised vent rib runs the length of the barrels, which helps dissipate heat and gives the eye a clean line to the target.
• The sight is a fiber optic sight, which is easy to pick up in low light and fast to align.
• The barrels are chrome lined, a lined bore that resists wear and wipes clean after a day afield.
• Five chokes are included, so the pattern can be matched to the target or the game being hunted.
• Barrel selectors let you choose which barrel fires first, a convenience for switching between close and distant shots.
• The gun uses extractors, a simple way to lift fired shells out of the chambers for loading the next round.
