Pointer builds the Pointer Acrius Field 28 Gauge Over/Under Shotgun, 28-Inch (brand part no. KAR2828) as the Field configuration of the Acrius line, a 28-gauge over/under with a 28-inch barrel set. A Turkish walnut stock and forend, a raised vent rib and a fiber optic sight sit on top of chrome-lined barrels, extractors and a laser-etched receiver. Crisp mechanical triggers and a set of five chokes round out the package, so the gun is ready for upland hunting, clay targets or a day of general field use. The Acrius series is positioned by Pointer as an affordable, reliable over/under for both new and experienced shotgunners.

Key Specifications

• The gauge is 28 Gauge, a size that sets the shot charge and recoil level of this over/under.
• The action is an over/under, with two stacked barrels that give a single sight plane and a quick second shot.
• Barrel length is 28 inches, long enough for a smooth swing on birds and clays.
• Furniture is a Turkish walnut stock and forend, a classic wood that gives the gun a traditional look and feel.
• A raised vent rib runs the length of the barrels, which helps dissipate heat and gives the eye a clean line to the target.
• The sight is a fiber optic sight, which is easy to pick up in low light and fast to align.
• The barrels are blued and chrome lined, a lined bore that resists wear and wipes clean after a day afield.
• Five chokes are included, so the pattern can be matched to the target or the game being hunted.
• Barrel selectors let you choose which barrel fires first, a convenience for switching between close and distant shots.
• The gun uses extractors, a simple way to lift fired shells out of the chambers for loading the next round.
