This KelTec SUB2000 Gen 3 5.7x28mm Black carbine folds in half and still keeps an optic on board, with a 16.1-inch barrel and a 20-round magazine (KelTec part no. SUB2K57BLK). The rotating forend of the third generation is what lets it stay optic ready when folded, something earlier SUB2000s could not do. KelTec built it around a straight blowback action, an adjustable stock and tool-free field stripping. It feeds from FN Five-seveN magazines, which suits shooters who already run the 5.7x28mm cartridge in a pistol.
