The KelTec Sub2000 Gen 3 10mm Tan (KelTec part no. SUB2K10GLKTAN) brings a folding semi-automatic carbine to one of the hardest-hitting pistol cartridges. Its rotating forend leaves the rifle optics ready, and an optic keeps its zero through folding and unfolding. A 16.1-inch barrel adds velocity over a handgun, and the carbine accepts Glock 20 magazines. The straight blowback action is easy to run and maintain, whether the rifle is headed to the range or into a truck bag.

Key Specifications

• Chambering is 10mm, a pistol cartridge that gains velocity from this carbine barrel compared with a handgun.
• Barrel length is 16.1 inches, which KelTec says turns into more velocity and power downrange.
• Magazine capacity is 15 rounds on this tan model.
• Magazine fit is Glock 20, so this 10mm model can share magazines with a Glock pistol.
• The rifle is optics ready through a rotating forend, so a mounted optic stays on and zeroed when the carbine folds.
• The design folds in half for compact storage and quick deployment from a pack or vehicle.
• The action is semi-automatic straight blowback, a simple system that is easy to operate and maintain.
• The stock is adjustable, so the rifle can be fitted to different shooters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which magazines does the tan 10mm model use? It accepts Glock 20 magazines and has a 15-round capacity.

Does folding the rifle upset the optic zero? No. The rotating forend is designed so the optic stays mounted and zeroed when the carbine folds.

Is the barrel long enough to matter? The 16.1-inch barrel lets the 10mm round build more velocity than it would from a handgun barrel, which is the point of a pistol-caliber carbine.
