Sized between Boyt’s 40- and 48-inch versions, the Boyt Harness Alaskan Series 44-inch scoped rifle case in OD green gives a scoped rifle a padded waxed canvas home (Boyt part no. OGC98PM09). The exterior is 24-ounce waxed canvas, and the interior is quilted flannel over thick cotton batting. Its stock and optics end rises to 8.75 inches tall inside, then the case tapers to 4 inches at the barrel. A heavy-duty #10 antique brass zipper with lockable double pulls closes it, and Boyt uses a heavy-duty web sling and spine in place of the leather trim found on its Signature Series. The result is a traditional field case in a muted green that fits rifles too short to justify a 48-inch case.
