The Winchester SXR2 Composite in .308 Win is a gas-operated semi-automatic hunting rifle built for whitetails, hogs and other big game (Winchester part no. 531061120). Its gas piston system and seven-lug rotating bolt aim to reduce felt recoil, and the rifle is fed from a detachable box magazine. A 22-inch steel barrel with a 1:10 twist, an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy receiver and a weather-resistant composite stock keep it light and ready for wet weather. An adjustable fiber-optic front sight and a fixed rear sight give fast target acquisition, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. It is a practical choice for a stand hunter who wants quick follow-up shots.
