The CAT MOB Titanium Suppressor is a 9mm can from CAT built for pistol caliber carbines and submachine guns. It uses CAT’s DiVerge pressure system to move gas forward, cutting sound, flash and gas blowback, and its titanium body wears a DLC finish. CAT lists no minimum barrel length for the titanium model and covers 8.6mm through 9mm. This HUB version measures 7.39 inches and weighs 9.9 ounces. It works well on an MP5-pattern host, an APC9 or a similar 9mm carbine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is it optimized for? CAT optimizes the MOB for submachine gun and PCC platforms such as the APC9, from 0 to 1200 fps, subsonic and supersonic.

Do I need ATF approval to buy this? No. As of October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires Form 4 approval, registration or a tax stamp for suppressors. It transfers on a Form 4473 with a background check through a Class 3 (SOT) dealer. State and local laws still apply.

Can I use it on a pistol? CAT says the MOB can be used on certain pistol platforms, but its center of momentum may cause cycling issues on some handguns.
