The SureFire Suppressor Trainer in 7.62mm and black (SureFire part no. SF-TRAINER-762-1-BK) is a training device from SureFire that mimics the length, weight and attachment of a SOCOM Fast-Attach suppressor for .308-class rifles. It provides no sound reduction, and it is meant for warfighters, law enforcement and trainers who practice force-on-force scenarios. SureFire says it can be used with marking cartridges such as Simunition FX and UTM, training ammunition such as SRTA, and frangible and live ammunition in a training environment. The body is stainless steel with a Cerakote finish, and it is made in the U.S.A. If you train with a suppressed 7.62mm rifle, this is the longer and heavier of SureFire’s two trainer sizes.
