The Daniel Defense M4A1 RIII URG 5.56 14.5-Inch Upper, Flat Dark Earth (brand part no. 23-004-01097-011) is a complete Daniel Defense M4A1 RIII URG upper receiver group chambered in 5.56 NATO/.223 Remington, built around a 14.5-inch barrel and finished in flat dark earth. It’s a factory Daniel Defense upper, not a parts-bin build, so the barrel, bolt carrier group, and rail all come matched from one manufacturer. The barrel carries a 1-in-7-inch twist rate, suited to the full range of common 5.56 bullet weights, and the upper ships without sights so you can run whatever optic or iron-sight setup you prefer. It’s sold as an upper only, with no lower receiver included, so it drops onto any compatible AR-15 lower you already own.
