The Shield Sights RMSx 4 MOA Glass Red Dot, Reflex Mini Sight XL Lens is an extra-large-lens reflex red dot for pistols and optic-cut slides (brand part no. RMSX-4MOA-GLASS). Shield Sights built the RMSx around an octagon-shaped glass lens that gives a bigger window than its smaller RMS models. This version carries a 4 MOA dot for precise aiming. The sight uses Shield’s no-click mechanism, so it can be zeroed without detents and co-witnessed with standard iron sights. It suits competition shooters and range pistols that benefit from a roomy sight picture.

Key Specifications

• The red dot is a 4 MOA dot, a fine dot that covers little of the target at distance.
• The lens is a octagon-shaped crystal-clear glass lens with a hard anti-reflective coating, which keeps the view clear and free of color tint.
• The body is machined aerospace-grade aluminum, which gives a rigid housing without adding slide weight.
• The sight weighs 28.6 grams without the battery, light enough to keep the slide quick to cycle.
• It runs on one CR2032 battery rated for 20,000 hours in average daylight, so the battery rarely needs attention.
• Automatic brightness adjustment keeps the dot ready without a button press, and the lowest setting is compatible with night vision.
• The sight mounts to the SHIELD footprint, and Shield lists more than 100 mounting solutions for that footprint.
• Water resistance is rated at 3 feet for 30 minutes (IP67), enough for rain and wet range days.
• A no-click adjustment mechanism zeroes the sight without detents and supports co-witnessing with standard iron sights.
• Sight dimensions are 40.8 mm long, 34 mm wide and 27.3 mm tall, which is the size of the housing to plan around for a slide cut.
