The Bergara Premier Barreled Action (Bergara part no. BPBA26-308) pairs a bolt-action Premier receiver with a 20-inch, number 4-contour stainless steel barrel chambered in .308 Winchester, giving builders a match-grade foundation for a compact hunting or tactical rifle. Bergara cuts the barrel with a 1-in-10-inch twist, the standard rate for stabilizing common .308 Winchester bullet weights. The number 4 contour is heavier than a sporter profile, adding stiffness that helps the barrel hold its zero through a long shooting session. Stainless steel construction resists corrosion through hard use. Sold as a barreled action rather than a complete rifle, it drops into the chassis or stock of the builder’s choice, skipping the barrel-fitting step of a full custom build.
