The Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 4-24×52 FireDot Duplex riflescope is a 34mm second focal plane scope with an illuminated reticle (Leupold part no. 183841). Leupold gives it a 6:1 zoom from 4x to 24x and a 52mm objective. The CDS-SZL2 elevation dial uses SpeedSet and ZeroLock, and the Guard-Ion lens coating helps shed water and dirt. Side focus sets parallax, and Alumina flip-back lens covers are included. It is a long-range hunting scope for open country.

Key Specifications

• Magnification is a 4-24x variable range, a 6:1 zoom that handles moderate ranges and extreme distances.
• The objective lens is 52mm, which sets how much light the scope gathers and how much clearance it needs over the rifle.
• The main tube is 34mm, so it mounts in 34mm rings.
• The reticle is the illuminated FireDot Duplex, a Duplex-style reticle with FireDot illumination that brings the eye to the center.
• The reticle sits in the second focal plane, so it keeps the same apparent size as you change power.
• Each turret click moves the point of impact 1/4 MOA, a fine step for precise zeroing and corrections.
• Total travel is 100 MOA of elevation and 100 MOA of windage, enough range to reach out and still stay on paper.
• Eye relief is 3.7 to 3.8 inches across the power range, which keeps a safe, comfortable distance from the eyepiece.
• The scope weighs 26.2 ounces, a figure that matters on a rifle you carry.
• Illumination has 8 settings on a CR2032 battery, rated for 1,600 hours on low, 1,000 on medium and 300 on high, with a daylight-bright level.
