The Leupold VX-6HD Gen 2 3-18×44 Boone & Crockett riflescope is a 30mm second focal plane scope with an illuminated FireDot reticle (Leupold part no. 184425). Leupold gives it a 6:1 zoom range, side focus and the Professional-Grade Optical System with Guard-Ion lens coating. The CDS-SZL2 elevation dial uses SpeedSet and ZeroLock, so you can set the dial to your zero without a tool. Alumina flip-back lens covers are included. It is built for the hunter who wants a high-end scope for big-game hunts.

Key Specifications

• Magnification is a 3-18x variable range, a 6:1 zoom that handles close shots and long distances.
• The objective lens is 44mm, which sets how much light the scope gathers and how much clearance it needs over the rifle.
• The main tube is 30mm, so it mounts in 30mm rings.
• The reticle is the illuminated FireDot Boone & Crockett, an illuminated FireDot reticle in the Boone & Crockett pattern that brings the eye to the center.
• The reticle sits in the second focal plane, so it keeps the same apparent size as you change power.
• Each turret click moves the point of impact 1/4 MOA, a fine step for precise zeroing and corrections.
• Total travel is 85 MOA of elevation and 85 MOA of windage, enough range to reach out and still stay on paper.
• Eye relief is 3.7 to 3.8 inches across the power range, which keeps a safe, comfortable distance from the eyepiece.
• The scope weighs 22.1 ounces, a figure that matters on a rifle you carry.
• Illumination has 8 settings on a CR2032 battery, rated for 1,600 hours on low, 1,000 on medium and 300 on high, with a daylight-bright level.
