The Barnes VOR-TX Safari 500 Nitro Express 570gr Banded Solid 500 Nitro Express load is a 20-round box of solid brass dangerous game ammunition (Barnes part no. 22033). Barnes says its VOR-TX Safari Banded Solid bullets are engineered to track straight, stay true through bone and perform without deformation for immediate stopping power. The published figures put the 570-grain flat nose bullet at 2100 fps and 5583 ft-lb at the muzzle, with a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.243. Barnes lists the pursuit as dangerous game and big game, with hunting as the purpose. A solid brass bullet is a different build from the expanding TSX in the same line, so this is the load to look at when the goal is a bullet that holds its shape.
