Sierra MatchKing Bullets in 6.5 Creedmoor, 107 grains, hollow point boat tail (Sierra part no. 1715) are the company’s pre-eminent target bullet, engineered around one driving goal: accuracy. The jackets are drawn extremely thin to an exacting concentricity standard of .0003 inch maximum variation, and bullet weight is held to within plus or minus 0.3 grain. Every MatchKing uses a hollow-point design with a very small meplat for a high ballistic coefficient, and most, including this one, use a boat-tail shape to further reduce drag. Sierra recommends the MatchKing for target shooting rather than hunting, even though some shooters have used the line in the field.
