The Hornady .270 Cal/.277 130 gr SST bullet (Hornady part no. 27302) is built for hunters who want flat-shooting accuracy paired with fast, reliable expansion. Short for Super Shock Tip, the SST uses a sleek polymer tip and a secant ogive boat-tail profile to raise the ballistic coefficient without giving up terminal performance on game. An InterLock ring inside the jacket keeps the core and jacket locked together through expansion, so the bullet holds together instead of shedding mass on impact.
