The Zero9 NX-5000 portable radio case in Flat Dark Earth with Molle-Loks (Zero9 part no. Z9-5010-FDE-MLK) is a custom-molded holder made for the Kenwood NX-5000 Series radio, including the NX-5200, NX-5300 and NX-5400 and the VP-5230, VP-5330 and VP-5430. It is built from injection-molded ABS-nylon and thermoformed Boltoron, so it does not wear out over time the way stock leather cases do, and it wipes clean and resists blood and chemical contaminants. The Molle-Loks mount is the attachment for a MOLLE vest, and Zero9 says the mount can be changed later with 2 to 4 screws. A bungee-style shock cord lanyard adds retention beyond the molded fit, which suits patrol, security and fire service use where the radio rides on the body all shift. Zero9 hand-makes its gear in Cleveland, Ohio, as a duty-ready alternative to the thin cases packed with many radios.
