The Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather MB 6.8 Western Rifle is a stainless bolt-action hunting rifle with a 24-inch fluted barrel and a threaded muzzle brake (brand part no. 535242299). Winchester builds it for adverse weather, with a matte stainless action, a Bell and Carlson lay-up composite stock and an aluminum bedding block that locks the action to the stock. The fluted barrel keeps weight down without giving up stiffness. It is a good fit for hunters working cold, wet country with the newer 6.8 Western cartridge.
