Look up Weaver’s official base chart for select Sako Hunter-series and Browning bolt rifles and you’ll land on Application #71 — the exact base in this listing (Weaver part no. 48071). Weaver machines it from aluminum and finishes it in a black gloss that matches most factory blued receivers. It bolts straight to the factory-drilled holes on these rifles, no gunsmithing required, and accepts standard Weaver-style rings. If you’re mounting a scope on a compatible Sako or Browning bolt rifle, this is the correct base to start with.
