The Volquartsen SureStrike Firing Pin (brand part no. VC10SSFP) is precision EDM-machined from A2 tool steel for the Ruger 10/22 (.22 LR model only), with a surface-ground impact section designed to minimize or eliminate light primer strikes. It’s also 0.004 inches wider than the factory pin to reduce side-to-side movement in the bolt, and hardened to Rc 56-58 for wear resistance.
