Sierra Varminter .30 Caliber (.308 inch) 115-grain bullets (Sierra part no. 2116) are precision reloading components sold 100 to the box, giving handloaders a thin-jacketed hollow point built for explosive, rapid expansion on varmints and predators at high velocity. Made by Sierra, a bullet maker known for jacket concentricity and weight consistency that competitive and hunting reloaders build entire load recipes around, this .30 Caliber (.308 inch) bullet is swaged rather than cast, producing tighter lot-to-lot consistency than cheaper cast alternatives. Reloaders load these into .30 Caliber (.308 inch) brass on their own press, pairing bullet, powder charge, and primer to a specific rifle or handgun for accuracy that off-the-shelf factory ammunition can’t always match.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Varminter bullet design good for? It’s a thin-jacketed hollow point built for explosive, rapid expansion on varmints and predators at high velocity, making it a fit for that specific use case rather than a general-purpose bullet.

Are these bullets or loaded ammunition? These are component bullets only, meant to be seated into your own reloaded brass with a press, powder charge, and primer, not ready-to-fire cartridges.

What caliber brass do these .30 Caliber (.308 inch) bullets need? They’re sized for standard .30 Caliber (.308 inch) bore and case dimensions, so they’re intended for reloaders working in that chambering.
