The Thompson/Center Encore ProHunter pistol barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor (brand part no. 8101R) turns an Encore break-action into a compact, flat-shooting pistol. The barrel is stainless steel, fluted, and 15 inches long, with a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle for brakes or other muzzle devices and a 1:8 twist. Thompson/Center designed the Encore line around interchangeable barrels, so changing calibers is a matter of swapping the barrel. It suits a handgun hunter or range shooter who wants a short, handy single-shot in a cartridge with real reach.
