The ASP Talon Baton 50cm Black Chrome, Vector Grip, Button Release is an expandable duty baton from ASP in the 50cm size (brand part no. 22434). It opens with a quick upward or downward flick and uses ASP’s Disc Loc system, in which two opposing discs cam into an internal groove for a stable lockout. Retracting takes a single press of the button, so the baton closes straight into a scabbard or the hand. This configuration pairs a Black Chrome shaft with a vector grip, making it a straightforward fit for patrol, security and corrections work. ASP designed the Talon to reduce moving parts and to need no routine lubrication.

Key Specifications

• Retracted length is 8.57 inches, short enough to carry on a duty belt.
• Expanded length is 19.8 inches for the 50cm size, the reach it delivers once deployed.
• The shaft is 4140 steel in a Black Chrome finish, a hard, corrosion-resistant surface that holds up to daily duty handling.
• Weight is 18.5 ounces, the figure for the steel configuration.
• Diameter is 1.06 inches, a full-size profile that fills the hand.
• The button release retracts the baton with a press of the button, so it closes directly into the scabbard or hand without striking the tip.
