The Swift A-Frame Rifle Bullets (Swift part no. 281409) give 7mm big-game hunters a 140-grain projectile built around a unique jacket-and-core design that Swift has refined for decades. A soft semi-spitzer lead nose runs from tip to base, protecting the bullet from recoil-induced deformation while chambered in a magazine, while a pure-copper jacket tapers at the tip so expansion stays controlled regardless of impact velocity. The core tapers again at the base, a detail that is critical for penetration because it produces the momentum needed to drive deep into game. A wraparound jacket at the base retains the bullet’s original weight and prevents deformation, so the A-Frame delivers consistent terminal performance shot after shot. Built by Swift Bullet and sold 50 to a box, this lighter 140-grain loading gives 7mm hunters a flatter-shooting A-Frame option.

Key Specifications

• Sized for 7mm caliber rifles.
• Weighs 140 grains, the lightest of Swift’s 7mm A-Frame lineup for a flatter trajectory.
• Soft semi-spitzer lead nose resists recoil-induced deformation in the magazine.
• Pure copper jacket tapers at the tip for controlled expansion regardless of velocity.
• Core tapers at the base for critical penetration momentum.
• Wraparound jacket at the base retains original weight and prevents deformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the A-Frame design different? It uses a tapered pure-copper jacket and a wraparound base jacket that controls expansion while retaining weight, unlike a standard jacketed bullet.

Why choose the 140gr over a heavier A-Frame? The lighter weight gives a flatter trajectory and higher velocity while retaining the A-Frame’s controlled expansion.
