The Smith & Wesson Model 1917 Classic recreates one of the most historic military handguns the company ever built, chambered in .45 Auto with a moon clip-fed cylinder (Smith & Wesson part no. 14057). It keeps the authentic half-moon front sight and the lanyard loop of the original, with a 5.5-inch blued carbon steel barrel and smooth walnut grips. The Model 1917 Classic accepts both original-style half-moon clips and modern full-moon clips, and five sets of full moon clips ship with it. Its double-action and single-action operation and a six-round capacity make it as usable at the range today as it was a century ago.
