The Standard Manufacturing SP12 Compact in 12 gauge (brand part no. SP12COMPACT) is a pump-action firearm built around a 14.5-inch barrel with fully ambidextrous controls, feeding and ejecting shells through the bottom of the receiver. Standard Manufacturing markets the SP12 Compact as the only truly ambidextrous compact pump on the market. Because its 14.5-inch barrel falls under the federal minimum length for a Title I shotgun, this SKU is classified by the ATF as a standard firearm rather than a shotgun, and it ships through your FFL the same as any other firearm — no NFA tax stamp or SBS paperwork is required. Among pump-action shotguns in the pump action shotguns category, the SP12 Compact favors shooters who want a genuinely ambidextrous, ultra-compact 12 gauge platform.
