The Springfield Armory SAINT B5 5.56 is a 16-inch AR-15 rifle fitted with B5 Systems furniture and a mid-length M-LOK handguard (Springfield Armory part no. ST916556B-B5). Springfield Armory builds it on a lightweight mid-length direct gas impingement system with a pinned gas block and a traditional A2 front sight base. The forged 7075 T6 upper and lower receivers are Type III hardcoat anodized, and the lower uses the Accu-Tite tension system to take up slop between the two. B5 Systems supplies the Bravo stock, the Type 23 P-Grip and the composite handguard, which has built-in stamped metal heat shields. It is a classic-looking, dependable AR for home defense, range days and general use.
