Sierra MatchKing PALMA Rifle Bullets, .30 Cal/7.62mm 155gr HPBT (500ct) (brand part no. 2156C) were created by Sierra specifically to fill the long-range demands of PALMA and other extended-distance rifle competitions. The #2156 PALMA bullet uses a longer, more streamlined 9-caliber ogive than a standard MatchKing, along with a slightly longer overall length and a pointed meplat, a first for Sierra Bullets at the time it was introduced. Those design choices combine to deliver the flat trajectory and consistency PALMA-format competitors need at distances standard match bullets weren’t built for. As with the rest of the MatchKing line, Sierra does not recommend this bullet for most hunting applications.
