Sierra BlitzKing Bullets in .25 Cal, 70 grains, flat base profile (Sierra part no. 1605) pair a polymer tip with a jacketed spitzer body engineered specifically for varmint hunting. The tip streamlines the nose for a higher ballistic coefficient than a standard soft-point, and Sierra publishes its ballistic coefficient across multiple velocity bands so handloaders can dial in trajectory at both close and extended varmint ranges. Built and jacketed to Sierra’s standard manufacturing tolerances, this bullet is a proven choice for anyone loading high-volume .25 Cal varmint ammunition.

Key Specifications

• Chambered for .25 Cal. matching the bullet diameter to this specific rifle cartridge.
• 70 grain weight. gives handloaders the figure needed to work up a varmint load.
• Flat Base profile. shapes how the bullet flies and expands on varmint-sized targets.
• Polymer-tipped spitzer design. raises the ballistic coefficient over a standard soft-point bullet.
• Jacketed construction. is engineered specifically for consistent varmint-hunting performance.
• Ballistic coefficient published across multiple velocity bands. lets handloaders dial in trajectory at both close and extended range.
• Built and jacketed to Sierra’s standard manufacturing tolerances. the same construction quality applied across Sierra’s varmint and match lines.
• Sectional density of .162. the figure handloaders use to compare penetration potential between bullet weights.
• Packaged 100 per box. enough for handloaders running high-volume varmint sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the BlitzKing built for? It is a polymer-tipped varmint bullet, built for a high ballistic coefficient and rapid expansion rather than big-game penetration.

Does Sierra publish ballistic coefficient for different velocity ranges? Yes. Sierra publishes separate ballistic coefficient figures across several velocity bands, letting handloaders dial in trajectory at both close and extended varmint range.

Sierra built the BlitzKing specifically for varmint hunters who also want flat, predictable trajectories. Browse more of our reloading bullets for other Sierra bullets.
