Sierra Tipped MatchKing Rifle Bullets, .30 Cal .308-Inch 175gr TMK (500ct) (brand part no. 7775C) grew out of the 175-grain .30 caliber MatchKing (#2275), created to let .308 Winchester shooters stay supersonic out to 1000 yards. That bullet’s popularity is exactly why Sierra added the acetal resin tip to create this Tipped MatchKing (TMK) version, reducing drag for a more favorable ballistic coefficient. It’s an excellent choice for F-Class (F-Open) competition, and it holds up just as well in 3-Gun and other competitive formats. As with the rest of the MatchKing family, Sierra does not recommend this bullet for most hunting applications.
