The Savage Axis 2 Pro .308 Win Forest is a left-hand bolt-action rifle with a threaded 20-inch barrel (Savage part no. 33290). A Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote barrel and action sit in a synthetic stock finished in Forest SP Camo, and the user-adjustable AccuTrigger and adaptable length of pull come from the Axis 2 Pro platform. The .308 Winchester is an all-around big-game cartridge with factory ammunition available almost everywhere. Because the action is built left-handed, the bolt handle and ejection port sit on the left side of the receiver, so a left-handed shooter cycles the bolt naturally. Savage lists it for big game, hog and predator hunting.
