The Savage 220 Thumbhole 20 gauge is a bolt-action slug gun with a stainless steel barrel and receiver and a gray wood laminate thumbhole stock (Savage part no. 22314). The button-rifled 22-inch barrel is built for slug accuracy, and the AccuTrigger is user adjustable. An oversized bolt handle makes the action easy to operate, and the detachable box magazine holds two slugs. A one-piece rail on the receiver takes a scope. The thumbhole stock supports a steady hold on the bench or in a stand.
